About the Academy Program
PVYA Youth Academy
The PVYA Youth Academy is a tiered program that focuses on the technical development of our youngest players between the ages of 4-6 years old. During these ages we focus on creating basic skills through fun games and sessions that maximize ball touches. As players engage in these different creative practices they begin to develop their "first touch and ball handling skills". These skills are so very important in creating a confident player that will learn to take risks on the playing field. The ages of 4-12 are considered the "Golden Age of Learning" for soccer players where technical skills are the focus of individual development.
To ensure we provide the best learning program in our Youth Academy every Coach is required to be licensed within six months of accepting a position. These licensing requirements include either an MSYSA E or NSCAA State & Regional license. Our Goal is to later require an NSCAA National Youth License.
